Replacing the Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230

Replacement Toner Cartridges for the OKI ES8460 have a capacity of approximately 9,000 pages (A4 single sided printing with area coverage rate of 5%, 3 pages/job).

CAUTION - To avoid toner wastage and possible toner sensor errors on your OKI ES8460 do not change the Toner until "Toner Empty" is displayed.

Procedure for replacing Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230

1. Ring 01293 537827 to obtain your replacement Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230

WARNING - If you inhale any toner or get it in your eyes, drink a little water or bathe eyes liberally in cold water. Seek immediate medical attention.

2.Pull lever (a) towards you (ensure the OKI ES8460 document feeder is shut, down) firmly to release the scanner lock and then raise gently in the direction of arrow (b).

3. Push lever (a) to release OKI ES8460 toner cover and lift in the direction of arrow (b).

4. Note the positions of the four OKI ES8460 toner cartridges, from the front going back they are Black (K), Yellow (Y), Magenta (M) and lastly Cyan (C) ensure they are replaced in the same order.

WARNING - If the machine has been used recently, the Fuser Unit may be hot. This area is clearly labelled. Do Not Touch.

5.Pull the blue lever (1) towards you to release the old toner cartridge Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230

6. Raise the old Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230 cartridge up on the right hand side in the direction of arrow (1), once it is clear of the machine frame slide the cartridge to the right, direction (2). WARNING! Do not incinerate old toner cartridges. THEY MAY EXPLODE!

CAUTION! - With the OKI ES8460 toner cover open light will be able to reach the green surface of the four OKI ES8460 EP Drum cartridges, prolonged exposure (more than 5 minutes) will cause light shock (feint areas of print every 3"). This can be permanent or take several hours for the Drums to recover. If there is a prolonged break in toner replacement, close the toner cover to prevent light shock.

7. Leaving the new Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230 in its bag gently shake it from left to right.

8. Remove the bag and tape from the new Toner (M) Magenta, Genuine OKI ES8460 - 44059230 and insert it into the machine locating it by firstly lowering the left hand side into the machine and sliding it in direction (1) locating it over the protrusion on the left-hand drum frame, now lower the right-hand side in the direction (2) until home.

9. Ensure that the blue OKI ES8460 toner locking lever is pushed all the way forwards to lock the toner cartridge in position.

CAUTION! - If the OKI ES8460 toner lock lever is not pushed fully forward after replacement, the OKI ES8460 printer will display an "error code". This can also cause a problem when removing the OKI ES8460 toner/drum unit. If someone lifts the drum unit out of the machine just by gripping the light grey toner cartridge and lock has not been engaged, drum units have been known to separate from the toner. This will cause a great deal of mess and damage the drum.

10. Shut the machine covers and allow it to come to ready.
