Procedure for replacing Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601

WARNING! be very careful not to burn yourself on the fuser unit.

1. Ring 01293 537827 to obtain your replacement Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601

2.Insert your finger into the recess on the right side of the OKI ES8460 printer and pull the front cover open lever (1) to open the front cover (2) forward.

3. Press the top cover open button (3) and open the top cover (4) WARNING! with this cover open be very careful not to burn yourself on the fuser unit.

4.Remove all four drum/toner units and store upright on a flat clean surface. NOTE when removing the drum units ensure that you grip the black drum unit, lifting the drum and toner out by the light grey toner cartridge may cause the two to disengage and the drum unit to fall causing a lot of mess and damage. CUATION drum units can suffer from light shock (exposure to strong light) it is also a good idea to cover the drums whilst out of the machine with paper to prevent light shock.

5. It is now possible to access the Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601, it is locked in place with two blue lock keys (5) rotate them 90' in the direction of the arrows.

6. Before lifting out the Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601 take note of the old ones location, grip the blue handle (6) at the front of the belt, lift the handle so the front of the belt comes up first now withdraw the belt towards you.

7. Remove all the packaging from the new Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601, lift the unit by the blue handle with one hand and support the lower white plastic part with the other hand. Offer the belt unit into the machine with the rear of the belt lower then the front in the direction of arrow (3) ensure the peg on the left locates in slot (2) and the shaft on the right locates in slot (1).

8. Lower the front of the Fuser Unit, Genuine OKI, for  ES8460 - 01206601 into the front of the machine in the direction of arrow (4).

9. Lock the new belt in place by rotating the two blue locking keys 90' clockwise.

10. Refit all four drum units ensuring you lift them by the black drum unit and inserting them in the appropriate slot for each colour.

11. Shut the machine covers and allow it the printer to come to ready.
